Edward F. FINCH
After 25+ years teaching at the secondary level, Edward then served as Executive Director of the Stephenson County Hisotircal Museum for 6 years.
A native of Taylorville, IL, he earned an undergraduate degree at Eureka College and a masters degree at Bradley University. In 1999 Illinois State University awarded him a Doctor of Arts in History.
His biography of renowned United States Navy submariner and novelist, Edward L. Beach, Jr., was an outgrowth of his doctoral dissertation.
Since 1974 Edward has lived in Freeport, IL, where he still resides today with his wife Cathy.
